Getting Hungry with Claes Oldenburg
4th Grade just finished these amazing cupcake container project that was inspired by a Pinterest picture. I am super impressed with the results! Students worked with the the artist Claes Oldenburg while create these tasty vessels. I loved seeing all the creative decorations they came up with for the cupcake tops. We found a lot of inspiration by watching cupcake war youtube clips. Students developed hand building techniques and worked with understanding the properties of glaze. Looking for ideas and suggestions to improve this lesson for next year!
